5 things make a post (google reader round-up light)

Much going on here, but I'm too scattered to parse it all. Thus, you get a bullet list. Because 5 things make a post, dontcha know...

  1. Confessions of a Curator was selected as one of the "100 Best Curatorial/Museum Blogs" by OnlineUniversities.com. Thanks!
  2. There has been much talk about the Ithaka report on sustainability for digital collections. Inside Higher Ed and the Chronicle have both weighed in. (No, I haven't had a chance to read it yet). (Thanks to my Twitterfolks for the links).
  3. OpenLibrary announced today that they have tech to make their records link up with Flickr images.
  4. Stanford has a digital humanities project that is awesome and self-justifying.
  5. The JFK library has an awesome site celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

Sadly, we must also note the passing of Charles N. Brown, publisher of Locus, and Phyllis Gotlieb, the mother of Canadian SF.

More anon.
